Ergon Energy Network distributes across regional Queensland — everything outside the south-east corner. It shares Energy Queensland's technical manual and the Electrical Partners Portal with Energex, and keeps its own forms.

- Applications go through the Electrical Partners Portal, which is open only to authorised users — registration takes a Queensland electrical contractor number or an accredited installer number, so the portal account is itself a credential check.

- The portal carries enquiries, connects and electrical work requests. A solar install that creates or changes a distributed energy record is a connect; the other two will not do the job.
- Approval before installation, exporting or not
- Every distributed energy system needs approval before it goes in, including systems configured never to export.
Where it snags
