Home Battery Not Charging
Work through operating mode, reserve settings, solar availability, communications and fault evidence before escalating a battery issue.
Safety boundaryRead first
Do not open a battery enclosure, disconnect battery cabling or attempt electrical tests. Heat, swelling, odour, smoke or physical damage requires immediate isolation only where safe and emergency escalation.

Check the operating context
- Confirm the selected operating mode, backup reserve and any scheduled charging window in the app.
- Check whether available solar exceeds household load and whether grid charging is permitted by the configured mode.
- Confirm the app timestamp and battery communications are current.
Record what the system says
- Capture state of charge, power flow, operating mode and the exact warning or code.
- Note recent firmware, tariff, VPP, installer or network changes.
- Record whether the issue is continuous, scheduled or associated with temperature or backup operation.
Escalate
- Provide screenshots, timestamps, model details and the observed power flow to the installer.
- Use the applicable manufacturer library where Wattbench has a documented match.
- Do not change installer-only parameters without the responsible installer or manufacturer process.
