Inverter Intermittently Restarting
Build a timestamped pattern for repeated restarts without masking protection events or guessing at the cause.
Safety boundaryRead first
Do not repeatedly power-cycle equipment, defeat protection or open electrical enclosures. Heat, odour, arcing or damage requires urgent escalation.

Keep the evidence with the job
These device-local checks are working state, not evidence. Save actual readings, observations and the outcome in a job record.

01
Capture the pattern
- Record exact restart times, weather, site load and solar output.
- Capture every visible warning, code and firmware version.
- Note whether the restart affects one unit or the whole site.
02
Preserve context
- Export monitoring events before they roll off.
- Note recent firmware, network, battery, generator or electrical changes.
- Avoid undocumented resets that erase useful evidence.
03
Licensed review
- Provide the event pack to the responsible installer.
- Have protection, supply, temperature and connections assessed under the applicable process.
- Record the confirmed cause rather than a presumed one.
